Interface StatisticQuerySession

This session provides methods for searching statistics. The search query is constructed using the StatisticQuery.

This session defines views that offer differing behaviors for searching.

  • federated utility view: searches include statistics in utilities of which this utility is an ancestor in the utility hierarchy
  • isolated utility view: searches are restricted to statistics in this utility only

    • getUtilityId

      Id getUtilityId()
      Gets the Utility Id associated with this session.
      Returns:
      the Utility Id associated with this session

    • getUtility

      Utility getUtility() throws OperationFailedException, PermissionDeniedException
      Gets the Utility associated with this session.
      Returns:
      the Utility associated with this session
      Throws:
      OperationFailedException - unable to complete request
      PermissionDeniedException - authorization failure

    • canSearchStatistics

      boolean canSearchStatistics()
      Tests if this user can perform Statistic searches. A return of true does not guarantee successful authorization. A return of false indicates that it is known all methods in this session will result in a PERMISSION_DENIED. This is intended as a hint to an application that may opt not to offer search operations to unauthorized users.
      Returns:
      false if search methods are not authorized, true otherwise

    • useFederatedUtilityView

      void useFederatedUtilityView()
      Federates the view for methods in this session. A federated view will include statistics in utilities which are children of this utility in the utility hierarchy.

    • useIsolatedUtilityView

      void useIsolatedUtilityView()
      Isolates the view for methods in this session. An isolated view restricts lookups to this utility only.

      Gets a statistic query.
      Returns:
      the statistic query

      StatisticList getStatisticsByQuery(StatisticQuery statisticQuery) throws OperationFailedException, PermissionDeniedException
      Gets a list of statistics matching the given statistics query.
      Parameters:
      statisticQuery - the statistics query
      Returns:
      the returned StatisticList
      Throws:
      NullArgumentException - statisticQuery is null
      OperationFailedException - unable to complete request
      PermissionDeniedException - authorization failure
      UnsupportedException - statisticQuery is not of this service
